So, assuming our mission here is to hunt down the man who burnt down our mentor/mentor's house/mentor's town, we should return to the town from whence he lived!

Emplyn follows the path and eventually comes to a very small bridge over a small creek. Originally she thought to put any lost blood into her cup but strangely enough, she was not bleeding externally. Instead, she dips the cup into the water to refill it. Once the cup was full, our hero contemplated putting the cup away but realized that it would just make a mess.

After traveling for several hours, an old man leading a donkey appeared down the road. The man was slowly heading south with a donkey in tow.

Emplyn approaches the man and asks if he has a map of the region. The old man nods but makes it obvious that maps are not cheap and he will not freely part with his treasure.

(What do?)

Also, new character art in the OP! Yes, it is terrible. No, I am not sorry.

You must have missed the character generation where it determined that the hair is a gentle blonde color. Less orange than what I used.

Emplyn spoke for a while to the older man and explained her situation. The old man did not budge on the offer and demanded several gold in currency for his high quality map. Our hero thought hard for a moment and a pained look crossed her face.

She expressed a high level of hesitance towards what she was about to do but explained to the older gentleman that she had, in her hand, the last of the water from an enchanted spring. This water had the ability to reverse the aging process for a period of time. The man looked skeptical but Emplyn explained that she was still young and it would be a waste for her to use it and keeping it safe was more effort than it was worth.

Target number: 4
Rolled: 5

The old man bought the story and gave Emplyn the map for the water in her cup. He even let her keep the cup. How kind.

Emplyn continued north for some time until the man was out of sight.

Man, that felt terrible.
Check out that map. See if it's really as high quality as the old man claimed, or if the conman got conned.
AKA Rvan. That's R.van; you pronounce it as "Ar-van", not "R-van".

Emplyn views her new map.

The quality is definitely not too shabby but it is not a complete representation of the world as she was shown years ago when she lived in the city.

However, she now has a rough idea of where she is in the world.
