Nations at War - Nation Episodes

NATIONS AT WAR IS STILL IN HIBERNATION, DO NOT GET THE WRONG IDEA

I apologize if this thread is in the wrong section, please move if needed.

So I spent some time on the Season 2 final map, and decided to continue on the Nations at War nation episodes that were put on hold as the server went into hibernation. Now before you watch this, take note that I did not use the best render settings possible (I'd appreciate help with that). There were tons of lighting bugs, as well as fire spread issues, so some things got destroyed, and I was unable to repair them, because the fire spread command was not working.

I do realize that some of these nations are unfinished, but I decided to show any nation that had notable progress done. These videos are currently unlisted, so you can only see them here. I hope you enjoy, let me know if you would like to see more.

Episode 3 - The Southern Nations (REVISED)

More coming soon

Heh, this is cute. Canyons are looking funky, not surprising though.

Two tips:
1) Shadow! Kill it.
2) Ein found that recording while moving backwards and then playing the video backwards (so it would look like he was walking forward) helps with loading chunks as they will load behind you.

...small issue. Can you you cut out the part where it says now accepting applications? Also, the same with the descriptions mention of applications. It far too heavily implies that they're either open now or soon.

This is the John Smith Texture Pack, not NAW. Plus the shader mod changes some textures, strangely.

1) I'll do my best to keep the shadow out of the way, unless I find a mod to remove the shadow.
2) That was pretty confusing. Let me get this straight, set the beginning camera point at the end of what would be a normal path? So as if I was rewinding the clip?

Revised the description and made a new outro. The nations at war logo was a pain in the ass, but I got it done, and it doesn't look that great in my opinion... Screwed up on many things.

But anyway, I'll use both the description and the outro in future videos.

Much better, thank you.

As for the second tip:

So he would have his equipment set to record and then he would fly/walk backwards so that you didn't see the loading chunks. When he was all done he then took the video of him walking/flying backwards and played it backwards making it look like he was moving forward. As long as there are no mobs running around there shouldn't be anything that actually shows that the video is being played backwards. It was actually a really smart way to handle that issue, I don't think I noticed loading chunks on yours but just a tip.

These days you can just pump up the optifine render distance and bring in the distance fog closer. That way unless you're doing 3000 block dolly shots you can have everything pre loaded.

Needs more quality shots of Argentifex's magnificent obsidian monument.

Just uploaded epsiode 4. This was a really strange episode, the shadows were even worse, and I was lagging like crazy on a 780 Ti and an i7 3820k, Minecraft is incredibly unstable...
